Nothing is better than experiencing Christmas with kids. The pureness of their heart; the depth of their understanding; the absoluteness of their faith. For my five year old, there is no reason Santa, the Elf on a Shelf, Rudolf & Baby Jesus can't all exist in the same season. He knows the full story of Jesus' birth and plays it out daily with his little nativity scene. Santa comes to bring presents for Jesus' birthday and there is no problem that Jesus or Santa can't fix. It's very simple. It's very true.
