DIY project #2 - Liquid Hand Soap
I noticed we're out of liquid hand soap refills. Well, since we're trying to cut back on our spending I decided to make my own: So super easy - just pour 1 Tbsp into your soap container & top off w/ filtered water. Add vanilla extract or any essential oils you want - I kept mine unscented. I used liquid baby-mild unscented Dr Bonner's Castile Soap. Dr Bonner's is about $56 cents per oz, so when diluted w/ water is comes to about 3.5 cents per ounce, or 28 cents per container of soap. MUCH cheaper than store bought liquid soap (7th Generation Free & Clean unscented hand soap is 71 cents per oz, $8 per container) and a lot safer since it's completely free of toxic chemicals. :o)
